# Language and theme

> Change the app language and appearance in Settings.

Choose how the app looks and which language it uses. Each change applies at once, without restarting the app.

## How to do it

1. From **My Profile**, tap the settings icon to open **Settings**.
2. Under **Theme**, choose **Light**, **Dark** or **System**.
3. Under **Language**, choose **English** or **Español**.

## Good to know

* System follows the appearance setting on your phone or browser.
* New notifications use the language you choose. Notifications already delivered keep the language they arrived in.
* The language you choose in the app stays your preference even if your Google or Apple account language later changes.

## If something goes wrong

If the language cannot be saved, the selector returns to the last saved language and the app shows a notice beside the control. Tap **Try again** to save it.
