# Name managers and remove players

> How to name or remove Managers and how to remove someone from your team.

From the management screen you name the Managers who help you run the team and remove people who no longer play.

## How to do it

1. Open **My Teams**, pick the team and tap **Manage team**.
2. Tap the person in the list.
3. Choose an action, depending on their role:
   * For a starter: **Make manager** or **Remove from team**.
   * For a Manager: **Remove manager role** or **Remove from team**.
4. If you remove someone, pick a reason from the list (for example **Inactive** or **Prefer not to say**).

## Good to know

* A team can have several Managers. What each role can do is in [Team roles](/en/teams/roles).
* A role change applies as soon as you tap. A Manager whose role you remove goes back to starter.
* When you remove someone, they leave the roster and stop seeing the team's matches. You can invite them again whenever you want with [Invite players](/en/teams/invite-players).
* Only a Manager can receive the presidency: [Transfer the presidency](/en/teams/transfer-the-presidency).

## If something goes wrong

If the app can't change the role or remove the person, it tells you. Try again in a few minutes.
