You have a role in each team, and the role decides what you can do. You can be President of one team and a starter in another.

## The 4 roles

| Role | What they can do |
| - | - |
| President | One per team. Can do everything: [organize matches](/en/matches/organize-a-match), edit the team, invite, name Managers, transfer the presidency and delete the team. |
| Manager | A team can have several. Organizes, shares, edits, cancels and finishes matches, and invites players and known substitutes. Cannot edit the team's identity, manage roles or delete the team. |
| Starter | On the roster and in the convocation. Manages nothing. |
| Known substitute | Not on the roster: summoned match by match. Sees their own view of the team, shown as "On the bench". |

## Good to know

* Whoever creates a team becomes its President. To create one, see [Create a team](/en/teams/create-a-team).
* An invitation adds a person as a starter when a place is available, or as a known substitute without taking a place. The roster holds up to 30 people: the President, Managers, starters and substitutes. [Invite players](/en/teams/invite-players).
* Only a Manager can receive the presidency. How to name one is in [Name managers and remove players](/en/teams/managers-and-removals), and the handover is in [Transfer the presidency](/en/teams/transfer-the-presidency).
