Coordination chats help a free player and a team sort out details of a summon or an application. Each chat stays tied to that match and ends with that arrangement.

Who can join

Each chat includes the free player who was summoned or applied, and the team’s current President and Managers.

When a chat opens and closes

  • A chat opens when a team summons a free player from the Market or when a free player applies to an open match.
  • It closes if the summon is cancelled or declined, or the application is withdrawn, declined, or closed before the player joins. If the team adds them, the chat stays open while they remain in the match.
  • It also closes if the player stops taking part, or the match is cancelled or played.
  • Once it closes, it disappears from Chats. You cannot reopen it from an alert or a link.

Where to find it

  • From Home, open Chats to see your open conversations.
  • The free player can also open a chat from their application or summon screen. The President and Managers can open it from the free player’s row in View roster.
  • The list shows the match context, participants, latest activity, and unread-message count. It does not show a message preview.
The count beside Chats adds up unread messages in all open conversations. Message alerts show who wrote and preview the message; they do not appear in Home notifications. Choose how to receive phone alerts.

What you can send

  • You can send text messages and web links. Links open outside the app and do not show a preview.
  • Chat messages do not confirm attendance, decline or withdraw an application, or submit an application. Take each action from the match or application screen.
For steps on summoning or applying, see summon a free player, answer a summon, and apply to an open match.
