Phone alerts need permissions on that device and the relevant choices turned on in your account. Alerts in the app are chosen separately.
Check in this order
- Confirm that you are still signed in on this device.
- Open Settings → Notifications and check its permission status.
- If permissions are off, use Activate on this phone, Activate in this browser or Open phone settings when the action appears. In a browser with blocked permission, turn it on in this site’s settings.
- For optional alerts, turn Phone alerts on.
- Turn On your phone on for the alert type you expect.
- If permissions are on but registration fails, use Try again.
- If you use the web app on iPhone, add it to the Home Screen and open it from there.
Good to know
- Phone alerts and each type’s choices apply across your account. Permissions belong to each device.
- A phone without permission stays silent even if your account control is on. Other phones with permission can receive alerts.
- System bypasses the optional-alert control, but still needs permission on this device.
- In the app decides whether a new alert appears in Home. Turning it off does not remove existing items.
- Turning alerts back on does not send those omitted while off.
- Reminders to complete your cards appear only in Home, never as phone alerts.
If alerts still do not arrive after these checks, open Help & Support and report the problem through this form. Last modified on October 10, 2026
