Your team needs known substitutes on its list before you can summon them. How to add them.
When you’re short of players, you summon a known substitute to the match, and you can revoke that summon while the match is active.

How to summon

  1. From View roster, find the Known substitutes section and tap Summon beside a person.
The person appears right away under Still waiting for confirmation and gets a notification. They answer from Home, like anyone else in the convocation. When they answer, their row moves to Confirmed or Out; under Known substitutes they stay where they were.

How to revoke a summon

  1. Tap Revoke on the right of the person under Known substitutes.
Revoking removes the person from Confirmed, Still waiting for confirmation, or Out, wherever they were. It works for someone who is pending, confirmed, said no, or was dropped by the team. We notify them only if they were pending or confirmed.

Good to know

  • Beneath the name, each row shows the role and main position separated by a middle dot. If the person has no saved position, it shows the role alone.
  • After you revoke, the person stays under Known substitutes and you can summon them again.
  • If they answered Not playing, you cannot summon or confirm them again for that match. That answer is theirs and stays even if you revoke: Summon stays disabled.
  • If they had already confirmed, revoking lowers the Confirmed count. With any other answer, the count does not change.
  • To take someone out of Confirmed without revoking, use Drop: they move to Out, stay summoned, and you can use Restore. How to run the convocation.
  • Summoning someone does not add them to the roster: they take part in that match, not future ones.
  • Once a match is ended or cancelled you can no longer manage it, and anyone who can only read the convocation sees neither Summon nor Revoke.

If something goes wrong

  • If the action is missing, check that the match is still active and the person is under Known substitutes.
  • If you could not revoke the summon, the app shows an error notice and the person stays in the state they were in. Tap Revoke again to retry.
